*** Shipping is not included, it is by collection or courier. Please read details at the bottom of this section ***

Of solid golden oak from top to bottom (with pine drawer bases), this attractively simple chest of 3 substantial drawers has an appealing light colour for modern rooms.

The chest has several Art Deco features, from the geometric mouldings to the front vertical corners, the squared off corners to the top and back frieze.

The original drop handles have in my opinion elements of Egyptian style in them, a popular aesthetic in the early twentieth century. They are of pressed brass, which has an attractive aged verdigris to its surface. Their design was registered in 1932.

The front bottom corners feature some lovely handcarved design details.

The whole chest has been waxed for protection and a consistency in shade throughout.

It has a wonderful warm colour and the timber is of great quality.

There is a split in the top to the left side, pictured, which has very little movement and is stable. There is a narrow sliver out of the front top edge of the panel which the second drawer sits on.

The chest measures 92cm wide X 45cm deep X 71.5cm tall (78cm at the back frieze).
