Edwardian Hand-painted Dentist’s Sign for False Teeth
A fantastic hand-painted Edwardian era Dentist’s advertising sign on wooden plank board.
The sign reads:
‘FALSE TEETH
Bought & Sold
Painless Extractions
3d Any Tooth’
In wonderful bold but aged yellow on black and with two literal stand out features, a huge grinning mouth with (now yellowing) teeth, and pair of lips, as well as a gory looking dental instrument.
Showing wear to the paintwork from display over the years, including a little chip to the top lip.
This will make a fantastic talking piece display item in your home or business. Great in a bar or pub, perhaps not in a dentist’s waiting room.
It is a heavy, solid wooden piece and has three large holes through it for mounting on sturdy screws in your wall. It could also be leant against a wall on a sideboard, or the floor.
