San Francisco cable car bell
An interesting American tram request stop bell, made for the San Francisco cable car, the famous tram which rides through the west coast city.
This bell would’ve been fixed by the straps (impressed ‘SFCO’ for the local foundry which produced them) to the underside of the ceiling, and the chain pulled by passengers wishing to disembark the tram.
Great for the reception of your business or for a room from where someone may need to alert for attention, like when you are napping in bed and awake requiring sustenance…
