c.1930s green tabletop office filing drawers by Stanford & Mann of Birmingham

A great little set of mid century office green desk top filing drawers with aged brass handles which double as label holders.

Labels have been made from a stock if paper I have from the period the drawers were made.

With 5 drawers big enough for A4 papers and documents (see photo showing A4 paper pushed to the back right corner) or stationery or whatever smaller items you need to organise and tidy away.

With a very elegant transfer label to the front top, for Stanford and Mann, a very well known Stationers and book shop on Birmingham New Street. I have found historical documentation mentioning the shop in 1908, bit I believe it dates further, into the late 19th century.

There are signs of wear and age particularly to the top.

Good on a desk or sideboard in the home office or study, this is a very practical storage piece with plenty of vintage office chic, its deep green fitting in seamlessly in any decor.

Measures 24cm deep X 38.5cm wide X 27cm tall.
