Art Nouveau large 19th century antique solid brass jug by Joseph Sankey and Sons
A beautiful late 19th century jug with a large spout and a wonderful Art Nouveau repoussé design, of curvaceous flowers and nature-inspired forms.
Produced by Joseph Sankey and Sons of Wolverhampton, England.
This could easily be brought back to a gleaming copper colour but as patina can’t be put back on, it’s left in its current state for those like me who appreciate the age.
A beautiful antique copper jug with large spout, probably for water, likely from the late 19th – early 20th century.
This elegant piece is great for watering your house plants or decor for the fireplace, shelf or sideboard.
Measures 28.5cm tall. The base diameter is 15.5cm.
