Antique pair of very large continental candlesticks
A grand and dramatic pair of large, brass antique continental candlesticks, with
A great look for the ends of a mantelpiece, a larger dining table or a pair of pillars either side of a staircase.
These were sourced on the continent around the French – Belgian border.
The capitals present as large pointed flowers over fluted columns passing two ornate knops, on a tripod base standing on claw feet.
The pair of new, large German chapel candles are included with the candlesticks.
They measure 36.5cm tall X 14.5cm at the base. The candles are 30cm tall X 3cm in diameter. The cups are 3.2cm in diameter. The candles can be held tightly in place using candle wax, a tissue or similar beneath, or an elastic band.
The total height including the candles is an imposing 63cm.
