Antique cast iron cobbler’s last – great door stop
An attractive early 1900s cobbler’s shoe last, with an impressive sculptural form.
A very tactile piece made from cast iron, which has decorative appeal and also makes a perfect door stop.
The various paint jobs this has received over the decades has resulted in an interesting multi layered colouration and an attractive, practical industrial piece of history for the home.
Originally a cobbler would have used the various ‘shoes’ to place an appropriate sized shoe over and hammered on the sole.
It measures approximately 20cm³.
