Antique brass globe taps – hot and cold
A great pair of brass taps dating from the Victorian period or early 1900s, with the lovely natural patina of age.
Known as ‘globe’ taps, these are not a common shape these days, but they are a lovely form facing directly downwards from the turn handle, with Hot and Cold to the ceramic tap head centres.
These are stamped CCWW, which is believed to stand for Chesterfield Corporation Water Works, who produced the taps.
The heads turn freely, though these have not been plumbed in on my watch so are untested.
They are ideal for wall mounting, with extensions to bring them over your sink or bathtub.
18cm tall X 7.5cm deep.
