19th century oak butler’s tray with its folding stand
A fantastic 19th century large polished oak butler’s serving tray, with a folding oak stand.
With elegantly turned details to all the rails, the hessian straps are in excellent condition, and the tray fits very neatly fixing on top of the stand so there is no independent movement.
Perfect for bringing food or drinks in from the kitchen, serving them on the large tray with pierced handles on all four sides, and putting it down on the stand which is light and easily folded and moved to where it is needed, then folded again and rested out of the way when not in use.
This tray and stand have been given coats of high quality Fiddes dark wax polish to help the surfaces remain protected, cleaned and buffed to a light sheen.
It would suit use for serving dinner, cocktails or afternoon tea brilliantly.
