1960s J Busilacchio Electric Reed Organ
A fantastic 1960s J Busilacchio Electric Reed Organ in teak case on its original detachable gold tone legs.
An interesting sort of hybrid between an accordion and electric organ, it has just under three octaves of standard keys to the right, and to the left a bank of accordion style buttons. These include major, minor and 7th chords, as well as bass notes.
With a speaker to the front left, like these organs often are, it has some kick volume-wise, but unusually this has a sprung volume lever which can be pushed over to the right with three outside of the right knee to lower the volume. This can be held at any position to get the right volume, which is especially useful if you’re singing too, or playing in a group (or just want to keep the neighbours on side).
All the keys and buttons work and this is a great and quite unusual midcentury vintage reed organ in great condition.
As we’re talking about a musical instrument, you’re going to want to hear it before buying it so here’s a video of a few bars and random presses of buttons and keys:
Measures 68cm wide X 78 tall on stand (keys sit at 72cm from floor) X 29 deep.
