A great piece of teenage history in a midcentury beech wood school desk, in a classic style which will be known well by many, with pen recess at the back with a central inkwell, and a lift-up lid for books, sheets, maybe a poster of… Cliff Richard? Jane Fonda?
Good as desk, obviously, hallway table, side table…
Still entirely sturdy half a century or so on, this has been waxed to even the writing surface and add a layer of protection all over.
A useful and fascinating piece of social history. And furniture.
The flat top measures 62cm wide X 45cm deep. The desk is 75cm tall.
