1950s black Bakelite rotary dial telephone
An excellent 1950s black Bakelite rotary dial British telephone.
With a traditional fabric cable linking the handset and main body and a classic Bakelite telephone look, with a less common black dial ring.
The telephone is a model L11560C7 dating from the 1950s.
This hasn’t been tested as a working phone but the bells are present and the ends of the cables will need updating for modern use.
A section of the bakelite on the earpiece has broken off at some stage and although this can’t be seen when in its cradle, this accounts for the reduced price. There is also a thin crack down the front beneath the dial.
This has been thoroughly cleaned and given a label typed on a typewriter on paper stock from the 1950s. The label has also been given a new transparent plastic cover as it would originally have had. You can remove this and add your own label should you wish.
A true 20th century design classic and fantastic piece of office or hallway decor.
Also the perfect prop for set dressing on stage or screen.
Measures 18.5cm deep X 15.5cm wide X 14cm tall including the handset.
