1946 Marconiphone Radiogram *for decor or prop*
A great looking Marconiphone radiogram model RG11A with a fabric grille and mahogany chassis.
This ‘5 valve table radiogram’ was produced in 1946.
So called as they were radios and electric gramophone record players, when previously most had been wind-up, it has many of the functional features of the older gramophones, such as those I currently have listed. This type of players existed in the brief period between the wind up gramophones and the introduction of the vinyl record, which came just two years after this player was produced.
With three dials to the right (one with missing knob) and the display panel showing favourite stations of the period.
The grille is an attractive beige-gold fabric in very good condition.
The full original instruction booklet is present and included.
***This radio is not known to be in a working condition. It is untested and as such sold purely as decor / stage or screen prop.***
Measures 42cm wide X 32cm deep X 26.5cm tall.
