1930s Art Deco ebonised office filing cabinet with tambour fronted sliding door and 9 drawers
A stylish 1930s Art Deco ebonised filing cabinet, with 9 drawers / shelves and a rolling tambour front to tidy your documents or items away.
***Shipping is not included, it is by collection or courier. Please read details at the bottom of this section***
With the original lock and key with the most stunning Art Deco brass escutcheon to keep everything secure which also unlocks the mechanism to open and close the tambour wooden front, which rolls down under the bottom shelf when access is required.
9 shelves can be fully pulled out for easy access to their contents (but have stoppers so they can’t get accidently pulled out), and an A4 sized sheet ie standard documents and larger will comfortably fit on the shelves.
Each sliding shelf has a great Deco form underhanging, with a brass label holder. Each label has been cut and inserted anew, from a stock of paper from the period.
In a neutral and stylish black, this cabinet will suit any decor, vintage or contemporary.
This is an attractive and useful piece of vintage furniture, perfect for storing your documents or supplies in style, especially in the home office or studio, where an ugly modern metal filing cabinet just won’t cut the mustard!
This piece measures 117cm tall X 46cm wide X 42cm deep. The top is 51cm wide X 45cm deep.
***Due to the size of the cabinet it will be sent by courier from Cardiff. You may also of course collect it or arrange a courier yourself. Shipping by courier arranged by us is to be paid by the buyer directly to the courier on delivery. A price will be arranged by us in advance with a courier we have used many times and agreed with the buyer before confirmation. This cost will be very reasonable as the regular courier gets a lot of work from us (though there are certain locations the courier does not deliver to, in which case a job request will be submitted on Shiply and a quote will be confirmed in agreement with the buyer. Buyer’s contact details will then be passed to the courier with their permission in order to arrange a suitable delivery day and time.***
