The Illustrated London News, July – December 1917
A highly collectable July – December 1917 leather bound compilation of The Illustrated London News.
Illustrated in colour and black and white, these editions include first hand reportage on various aspects of World War I, including the battle of Cambrai, the first larger savage use of tanks, the October Revolution, the capture of Jerusalem and more.
There are also a lot of fascinating advertisements, now 109 years old and a very interesting glimpse at what people were buying and being sold.
The front title page is quite creased but otherwise the book is really in fantastic antique condition, the some is good and all is attached to the leather cover, with its impressive gilt depictions and titles.
