A wonderful pair of c.18th century stoneware bottles with a dark grey colour and charming handmade forms.

Originating in Normandy, these were used for Calvados, the regional brandy made with apples.

With plenty of texture and character in the varying shades as you traverse the historic body.

One has painted in red ‘Vieux Calvados’.

These make beautiful antique decorative pieces in a bedroom, kitchen or lounge (or anywhere else for that matter) perhaps as pictured, with a dried or fresh stem.

‘Vieux Calvados’ 28.5cm tall X 8cm in diameter. No writing 27cm tall X 10cm diameter.
