Male prosthetic hand on golden plinth
A genuine male prosthetic left hand, standing on a gold tone metal plinth.
Can be given a flower to hold, perhaps a bunch of keys, or left alone as a sculptural piece.
The hand comes in its original box from three prosthetics manufacturer and was an unneeded, unused spare belonging to the father of the vendor who lost his hand during the second world war.
The stand was sourced separately and originally came from fashion retailer Vivienne Westwood, where it originally formed part of a shop display.
The hand sits firmly in the base into which a larger hole was made to fit it perfectly. The two elements can be separated with ease should you prefer.
25cm tall inc. base. Base measures 12.5cm².
