Very large Midcentury West German 1970s fat lava floor vase 284-47
A fantastic very large midcentury floor vase produced in West Germany in the 1970s.
The colourway is a very attractive bright orange contrasted with the black ‘lava’.
The design number, as shown in the photo, is 284 – 47.
Collectors please note, there is a thin crack around one bottom edge. Tapping the vase there is no aural distinction between this area and the rest of the vase. It looks on close inspection as if a segment at the base may have broken away then been reattached very solidly. It’s not easy to see; turn the crack to the wall and it won’t be seen at all. This has been accounted for in the price.
A beautiful example of the style, with a simple, bold colourway.
47cm tall X 24cm diameter at the widest and 11cm at the opening.
