Early-mid century long spouted watering can
A fantastic looking early-midcentury long spouted watering can.
With a spectacularly long spout, this came from a country estate in Lincolnshire, where it would’ve been used in greenhouses, being able to reach the back of deep potting tables.
It is ideal for reaching the back of deeper beds.
Plenty of capacity for a lot of watering in the garden, but would also look great as a planter or perhaps even a vase for fresh or dried flowers or grasses in the home.
There is an embossed badge to the top reading,
Armitage Bros Ltd. High Street, Nottingham. They were ‘grocers and seedsmen’, who were incorporated in 1897, though the original company they grew from was established in 1775 by a Quaker named William Fox.
The body measures 25cm tall X 22cm diameter. The total height to the top of the spout is 60cm. The total length from spout to the back handle is 70cm. The spout alone is 62cm.
