1960s shop Hacks throat sweets tin

A large Hacks throat sweets tin dating from the 1960s, with a lid which screws on and off.

This tin would have been used in a shop from which individually wrapped eucalyptus and menthol boiled sweets could be bought individually, at the last time of use, sold at 15p each.

Attractive colours and a humourous and unusual name and imagery for the shelf or kitchen worktop. Filled with uncooked rice it can hold your ‘hacking’ kitchen knives? Spaghetti, tea bags or whatever. Dried flowers perhaps.
