***Shipping is not included, it is by collection or courier. Please read details at the bottom of this section***

A fantastic green ‘Conquest’ model with cream sides and brass latches and gold tone front knobs and speaker grille.

The iconic mid century style of the Dansette played a huge part of great British audio and social history during the 1950s and 60s, and these players were the quintessential way of listening to some of the greats of the era of swathes of switched on youth.

This is one of the finest Dansette models. This Conquest has a great amplifier, powerful and full sounding with a richness not usually heard in all in one players.

*** Full professional restoration and service ***Unlike the vast majority of vintage record players you will find on Etsy or eBay, this has already been fully professionally restored and serviced.

Completely mechanically and electrically restored and serviced, this Dansette Conquest has been brought back to its former glory with work which includes the following:

– Cleaned volume and tone pots

– Full mechanical service to BSR deck. The autochanger now works perfectly

– New cartridge installed

– New stylus installed

– flip type for LPs, singles and 78 rpm gramophone records

– Stylus tracking weight correctly set

– Long list of other resoldering, lubrication and cleaning, mechanical service.

Aside from its great style and vintage sound, this player has fantastic features.

By placing the overarm over the 12″ or 7″ record and sliding the lever over to Auto, the turntable starts rotating, the record drops and the tonearm settings across and gently drops at the beginning of the record. At the end of the record the tonearm will return to its cradle.

The deck is fully automatic, so you lay a record on the spindle and swing the holding arm across. Slide the selector across to Auto and the tone arm will move itself across to the position exactly above the start of the record and gently lower itself down onto the record to play. At the end of the record the arm will swing back to its cradle and the turntable will stop rotating.

Make sure you unclip the arm from its transportation clip first! Likewise, two screws atop the deck should be up for transport to lock the deck, and down for use which lifts the sprung deck for play.

You can even stack several records on top of one another and they will play one after another, Juke box style! See video at link below for a demo.

The record player can be played with the lid closed for tidyness and it’s handy to avoid drink spillages at parties!

The player is a mid green colour with cream lid. There was some historic woodworm in parts of the outer case which have been filled and painted over.

This machine has been well used and loved over the years and while it has been cleaned and touched up, you will see plenty of signs of knocks and scrapes it’s got into in its youth… please see photos.

This great stylish, vintage all in one record player with its built in speaker arrives in great condition ready to play your favourite records.
