Collection of late 19th century and early 20th century spectacles with cases
A collection of 14 pairs of antique spectacles mostly round with hook over arms, and pince nez, with cases.
Many of the round frames have a tortoiseshell pattern. These are mainly in groups of identical designs, so perfect for a film, TV or theatre where spares are required.
Designed to pinch onto the nose with the clips between the lenses, the pince nez came into popular use in the late 19th century and beyond.
They all currently contain prescription lenses.
The vintage hard cases are also present, as shown in photos, in addition to some spares parts.
Ideal for a theatre group or for a costume department for TV / film.
