c.1930s large opaline glass pendant light shade with original brass gallery
A superb large c.1930s pendant opaline glass ceiling light shade with attractive original brass gallery.
A simple and classic Art Deco shape, with sloped sides and a curved edge to a large domed base.
All of the thick glass is in excellent condition, without marks, though as is so often the case with glass shades, there is a chip in the edge of the glass beneath where the gallery sits. So this is not visible when hanging, attached to the gallery.
This beautiful shade came out of a restaurant in South Wales.
As with all our vintage lighting, it is fully checked over for electrical safety, full functionality and compliance and then PAT tested.
A chain to hold the weight of the shade is present, along with the ceiling rose. A ceiling hook is required for this. Your electrician should be able to provide this when mounting.
Timeless style, this will look great for eternity!
The shade itself measures 35cm in diameter X 18cm in height. From the top of the brass loop to the lowest hanging part of the shade is approximately 33cm. The total drop from the top of the ceiling rose down is 83cm.
I have another matching pair, very similar but not identical to these, but a little larger with nickel galleries. Please contact me a deal on all three.

I love my school desk it arrived in great condition and the carriers kept in touch and arrived on time. I would buy again from oaky done and request the same carriers.❤️👍Posted on Google Kirsten BurrowsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great shop! I have been on the mailing list of Oaky Doke Vintage for a while and love getting their mail shots. Always an interesting range of products to browse through and I have purchased a few items, which I have been delighted with. The service each time has been great, the communication prompt and friendly from Tim. I have made use of their courier delivery and called to their Cardiff HQ to collect. Both options efficient and straightforward. I look forward to my next purchase!Posted on Google Melanie FalconerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Genuine, quirky and lovely vintage tree posters, and the optional bespoke wooden top/bottom frames were very well made. Extremely well packaged, swift delivery, and the owner included a personal handwritten note with information, which was much appreciated. Will definitely have no hesitation in buying from this business again. Service and quality as it should be!Posted on Google Chris SimonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The transaction was problem free. I bought a lovely antique display case which was exactly what I’d been looking for, for some time. And the price was very reasonable. I was a bit worried about having it posted because of its fragile nature. I needn’t have - it was so well-packed that it survived the journey unscathed. I will certainly keep an eye on what they have to offer.Posted on Google Mark StudnerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I am so pleased with my purchase of this stunning antique. I am all the way in Los Angeles and this is my 3rd purchase and I am so pleased with everything I bought. The postage was amazing and I can tell that Tim has great pride in his merchandise and his loyal customers. I will be coming back as much as I can. Thank you Tim for having an amazing store. I still think England has the best antiques. I highly recommend this store!🥰
