Vintage fairground ‘3 Balls 5D’ hand-painted wooden sign
A vintage genuine fairground sign, hand-painted on wood.
It has fantastic wear and paint deterioration to it, after a long working outdoors life in the fun fair.
Advertising ‘3 BALLS 5D’ for some kind of ball-throwing game to win a prize, for the princely sum of 5 pence.
Two angles metal bars remain to the reverse which would originally have been used to mount the sign. These have been left for originality and in case they could be used again. They could also be removed and the sign mounted with brass mirror mounts to display flush to the wall.
Fun, colourful and joyful, evocative of good times.
Measures 64cm X 19cm X 2.5cm thick (8cm including metal bars).
