Excellent Harrods vintage solid leather suitcase, large 1930s suitcase

A truly beautiful very large vintage solid leather suitcase.

A luxury top end suitcase in its day; notably that it was produced and sold at Harrods, the world famous luxury London department store.

It is the heaviest suitcase I’ve ever handled, which is a testament to its quality. No problem if you have porters and staff to handle it as no doubt the original owner would have done in the 1930s! The initials of that person are monogrammed on the case, J.C.L.

The weight mean it may not be the most practical travel case today, but will look spectacular on display for your business or in use for attractive storage at home.

The good steel catches are large and well made. They function smoothly, latching securely first time and springing up fully at the hinges.

The interior is brown leather with a simple black border. There is a tear in the back left of the interior base lining, see photo.

This gorgeous hard leather case from the early 20th century is in great vintage condition. The knocks and scrapes it has taken over the decades add to its beautiful patina. Please look through all the photos.

The case has been conditioned with a high quality natural beeswax leather balsam.

This fine case measures 77cm x 46cm x 21cm.

Free shipping in mainland UK, beyond will require a supplement.
