Early 20th century theatre light on extending midcentury theodolite tripod stand, converted to standing lamp, PAT tested
A wonderful and completely unique repurposed vintage theatre spotlight, as a beautiful standard lamp.
Sourced from a retired theatrical lighting technician who saved this one spotlight as he or his colleagues had never seen this model anywhere else.
This near century old lamp has been diligently restored, rust removed and polished, safely rewired, earthed and PAT tested (September 2024). It fits a standard size E27 (screw-fitting) bulb. It has a large convex lens to the front.
This lamp has been affixed to a midcentury wooden theodolite stand with black steel extending legs and thumbscrews. The wood has a wonderfully worn patina, and the legs are held together with leather straps.
The legs are extendable to the exact height you want them and so this light will look perfect on any space. They range from 112cm total including the lamp to a towering and dramatic 168cm tall.
The thick cable is an extremely generous 470cm so can go a long way from the nearest socket! There is a modern rocker switch on the cable.
The spotlight itself measures 30cm X 23cm X 17cm.
